Chinese is the number one most-used language in the world. China has the world's second-largest economy and is one of the most useful languages for business. Many of our students who minor in Chinese are business majors. There are many reasons to learn Chinese.

The Chinese Minor will help you to develop speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills in Chinese and will increase your knowledge of the Chinese culture. See below for our Chinese minor requirements, classes, and resources.

Chinese Minor Requirements

Complete all lower-division course work (all 1000- and 2000-level classes) or its equivalent in Chinese, followed by 6 hours of upper-division credit in courses taught in Chinese.
